Engagement season is here! What to do after...

Updated: Jun 19, 2019

Congratulations in your engagement!

Open the champagne and start planning... you have a new task and it's to plan your BIG D - and to deal with the budget and wedding vendors, which could be overwhelming sometimes. But, no worries... We are here to assist you to say “I do” to happily ever after. and to make sure to pass on our knowledge and save you and your fiancee from preventable hassles.  We can assist you with the best and worst parts of your planning process.  Help guide you down the aisle and of course give you the scoop on name change.

Here is a list of the priorities for a great wedding planning:

You and the Guests come first! Get a grip on the approximate number of guests you'll invite before settling on a venue.

When searching for a venue, do not forget to confirm the Wedding Venue Blackout Dates. Listen to Mother Nature and remember to have a back up plan for weddings in the rainy months.

Plan. This is important, setup a budget since the beginning and stick to that budget. Most of the time, I observe couples dealing with last minute charges because they did not plan the budget since the beginning.

Choose a wedding coordinator or planner to assist you with the details and planning of the wedding. Ultimately, you and your guests want to enjoy the day of the wedding and the least that you want is to deal with coordination of vendors.

When you choose a Caterer in advance to feed your guests and the wedding day crew. Note that the majority of us - Caterers will offer you a discount price for your vendors. Before you sign the contracts, make sure you're not required to serve the same meal to your vendors that guests will receive. Otherwise, you could be paying for 20 additional lobster tails. Choose a less expensive (but equally hearty) meal for them instead. You will have to let you wedding caterer know a couple of days before the wedding exactly how many vendors you need to feed (don't forget photography assistants and band roadies) and what you want them to serve.

Choose a florist, live band or DJ, and photographer. If you hire a wedding coordinator for your event, you will be able to hire and coordinate in advance the timelines and location of each vendor with him or her.

At Tastebuds Design Event, we assist you with every single step and coordination of the wedding. We are your "One Stop Source" for this special day.
